ULTRASOUND OF THE EYE AND ORBITS

Echography is one of methods with widest specter of possibilities. It enables quick, painless and harmless testing and measurement of normal structures of the eye and eye socket and also discovering, measurement of pathological structures: different inflammatory conditions or tumor inside of the eye and outside (in orbit), different injuries of the eye, foreign objects, retinal ablation, opacity in vitreous, thyroid diseases (Graves Basedow disease), bleeding and many other conditions.

It’s non-invasive and painless method; probe is placed on patient’s closed eyelids and structures of the eye and orbits are examined.
