PENTACAM (OCULYZER) analysis

Pentacam Comprehensive Eye Scanner is medical device, i.e. camera that most precisely analyzes anterior segment of eye and by that allows completely individualized approach to laser diopter removal. Couple of years ago precision in laser diopter removal was determined by amount of diopter and cylinders, but discovery of Pentacam changes that.

Rotating of Scheimpflug camera in all meridians allows precise three-dimensional representation of anterior segment of eye and by that also individualized approach in refractive surgical procedures.

It’s used for following measurements:

• corneal topography (elevation and curvature maps),
• corneal pachymetry in its complete surface area,
• tomographic analysis,
• 3D analysis of ocular front cabin,
• density measurement of lens,
• Strength measuring of intraocular lens that is planned to embed for patients who previously undergone refractive surgical procedures
